Spinwell is recruiting for a Payroll Adviser for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

PAYROLL ADVISER JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Working effectively as part of a team
  • Accurate data input and keyboard skills
  • Ability to accurate undertake any calculations associated with payroll.
  • Knowledge of PAYE, SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP and national insurance.
  • Knowledge of real time information and pension auto enrolment requirements.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and its practical application and current developments in payroll practice.
  • Substantial use of computerised payroll systems and computer software where accuracy is essential
  • Substantial experience in a payroll provision
  • Substantial experience in payroll calculations e.g. manual calculations, restructure calculations, equal pay and settlements to a high standard.
  • Experience and competence in using a range of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Level 3 payroll qualification (e.g. Advanced Certificate in Payroll procedures or NVQ3 in Payroll Administration) or Level 2 qualification to demonstrate numeracy and significant experience in payroll administration.
