An infrastructure company in the UK is looking for a Pavement Engineer to manage pavement assets and develop long-term strategies. You'll contribute to asset management and collaborate with diverse teams to ensure effective project outcomes. The ideal candidate should have a relevant degree, strong planning skills, and proficiency in MS Office. This role requires participation in an emergency call-out rota and a commitment to safety culture, offering a flexible work environment with competitive benefits.
As a Pavement Engineer you'll lead and support the effective management of pavement assets by developing and delivering long-term, value-driven maintenance and renewal strategies aligned with DBFO objectives.
This role includes contributing to the ongoing improvement of asset management systems (such as HAPMS and Agile), collecting and maintaining highway inventory data, and identifying, scoping, and supporting pavement projects. You’ll also assist in managing surveys and inspections, ensuring accurate data informs planning and investment decisions. You’ll mentor junior team members, support innovation, and work collaboratively across technical, commercial, and stakeholder teams to ensure safe, sustainable, and cost-effective outcomes.
Participation in the 24-hour emergency call-out rota is required (minimum six days in six weeks), and a strong commitment to CPS’s Zero Harm safety culture is essential.
Based location can be: Leatherhead, Dartford, South Mimms.
