Overview

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for a motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our administrative team and support with coordination and scheduling of an expanded programme of work. Reporting to the Service Manager for Care of the Elderly, you will work closely with the Care of the Elderly Administrative and Clerical team to support the administration and scheduling of day case, inpatient and outpatient activity for the Care of the Elderly Service. A flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills are essential in addition to high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to a patient’s care pathway, tracking and supporting patients from referral to treatment and/or discharge.
  • Assist with administration and scheduling of day case, inpatient and outpatient activity for the Care of the Elderly Service.
  • Perform some patient-facing activity and manage queries from patients, clinicians and staff.
  • Demonstrate excellent telephone skills and good IT proficiency to support day-to-day duties.
  • Be available to work at both hospital sites for several days each week.
