Job summary

A leading education agency is looking for a passionate Year Manager for Year 8 in Glossop to support students in their emotional, academic, and social development. This position requires relevant pastoral experience and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will work with other year managers to promote high standards of behaviour and attendance, liaise with parents, and deal sensitively with safeguarding concerns. This is a long-term, non-teaching position, starting in January with a daily pay of £110-115.

Qualifications

• Relevant pastoral experience working in KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities

• Support students in an emotional, academic and social capacity.
• Work with two other year managers to support the year group.
• Uphold excellent standards for behaviour and attendance.
• Promote the school's values and ethos.
• Deal with safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Work with class teachers and senior leaders to support pupils.
• Liaise with parents regarding progress.
• Encourage and motivate pupils.
