We’re on the lookout for Pastoral Care Coordinators to support our Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) teams across Hastings, Napier, and Central Hawke’s Bay. This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our Pacific workers while helping shape the future of pastoral care at Mr Apple.

This role also takes care of the procurement of the accommodation including audits and site conditions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead with heart: Deliver culturally responsive pastoral care that supports the wellbeing of our Pacific workers across multiple accommodation sites.
• Be the go-to: Coordinate health and safety support, manage medical logistics, and be the calm in the storm when challenges arise.
• Make wellbeing part of the everyday: Work with internal teams to embed wellness into daily routines.
• Keep things shipshape: Maintain accurate records, support audits, and ensure compliance is always on point.
• Set the standard: Oversee accommodation conditions, run inductions, and make sure our sites are safe, clean, and welcoming.
• Coach and uplift: Support RSE Team Leaders to grow in their roles and lead with care and confidence following the Mr Apple way.
• Champion better: Help refine our pastoral care approach, share best practices, and drive sustainability initiatives.
• Keep it moving: Support travel logistics, and procurement of essential supplies to keep everything running smoothly.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in pastoral care, community support, or wellbeing roles (bonus points if you’ve worked with Pacific communities or in horticulture)
• A natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• A solid understanding of health and safety practices
• A collaborative, can-do attitude and a knack for coaching others
• Flexibility to work the occasional evening or weekend
• The legal right to work in NZ and the ability to pass pre-employment checks
