This role is based in the secondary site in Leyland.

£25,185 - £29,540 + excellent benefits.

As a Pastoral Support Assistant you will help us meet our young people’s emotional needs. You will support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges, and other complex needs, ensuring they receive the high standards of care they deserve. Your role will involve working with families and developing personalised programmes for each individual, creating a positive learning environment where every young person can thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral and emotional support to young people with BESD or ASD.
  • Collaborate with families to design and implement individualised care plans.
  • Assess and plan learning environments and activities to promote well‑being.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and support requirements.
  • Participate in multi‑agency meetings and contribute to safeguarding plans.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience working with ASC, ADHD, SEMH or similar pupils.
  • Experience supporting families in challenging circumstances.
  • Understanding of safeguarding legislation, child protection policy and multi‑agency work.
  • NVQ 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (ideal).
