Passenger Experience Assistant – FRONT OF HOUSE

London Southend Airport

Fixed term contract ending 31st October 2026

Full time (37.5hrs pw) and part time (20hrs or 14 hrs) available

expected start date - 09/02/2026 (vetting and referencing dependant)

About The Role

Our Passenger Experience Assistants play a pivotal role in the day to day operating and presentation of our airport, as one of the first faces our passengers see they are responsible for ensuring the exemplary standard of service our passengers have grown to expect, and enjoy, are consistently met. We bet you’re thinking “so what is it I will actually be doing day to day?” well….​

  • I will attend to the needs and requests of all passengers.
  • I will check passengers and their baggage in for their flights at the check in desks.
  • I will support with the boarding of passengers onto their flights via the departure gates.
  • I will provide supported movement to passengers who require it, for example, someone with reduced mobility.
  • I will assist in reasonable requests to support additional duties across the business.
  • I will fully embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.
  • I understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7 so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
  • I am a strong communicator.
  • I can work effectively on my own and as part of a team.
  • I have customer service experience and always strive to deliver the highest standards.
