A prestigious independent school in London is seeking a Receptionist for their Junior School. The ideal candidate will provide a welcoming point of contact and assist in office administration. Applicants should have strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on customer service. The role is part-time during term time, offering a competitive salary and opportunities for staff development.
Hours of Work: 7:30am to 18:15pm, Thursday and Friday (19.5 hours per week). The Junior School Reception desk requires cover by two staff between 7:30am and 18:15pm, Monday to Friday. Potential alternative pattern: morning shifts 7:30am to 12:00 noon, Monday to Friday (22.5 hours per week) may be considered. Applicants should specify preferred pattern. Term time only (35 weeks).

The headmaster and CEO of Eltham College Family of Schools and the Head of the Junior School seek to appoint a Receptionist to the Junior School to provide a welcoming and efficient first point of contact for all callers both by telephone and in person. Also, to assist in the smooth running of the school office by fulfilling appropriate administrative duties.
Eltham College is a highly successful independent day school in south-east London, educating boys and girls aged 7 to 18 across both Junior and Senior Schools. The College has grown considerably over recent years: there are now over 800 students in the Senior School and around 260 pupils in the Junior School and places are heavily oversubscribed. Since 2020, girls have been able to join Years 3 and 7, mirroring the Sixth Form which has been coeducational for over 45 years. The school places an equal emphasis on academic, pastoral and co-curricular excellence and has an outstanding reputation in all three areas as well as for the friendly, unpretentious nature of daily life.
