Job summary

A healthcare organization in Nottingham is seeking a part time Medical Administrator. You will provide essential support to maintain patient records and facilitate communication within the multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have experience in administrative roles and a patient-facing capacity. The role includes processing information, managing referrals and delivering high-quality support to ensure the seamless operation of the GP surgery. This position offers 5.6 weeks of annual leave and participation in the NHS Pension scheme.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience of working with the general public.
  • 1-2 years experience of administrative duties.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting (primary care, GP Practice).

Responsibilities

  • Provide an efficient and professional administrative service.
  • Maintain patient records in accordance with confidentiality.
  • Input data into the patients healthcare records.
  • Support clinical teams with documentation and correspondence.
  • Process referrals and liaise with external agencies.
  • Provide reception and front-of-house duties as needed.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communication effectively.

Education

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
