Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within an SME environment.
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes and reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, data analysis functions).
  • Confident communicator – able to explain financial data clearly to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Reconciling key balance sheet accounts including cash and prepayments.
  • Providing expenditure analysis vs. budget/forecast.
  • Handling day-to-day transactional finance duties.

iMultiply are supporting a well-established and values-led organisation based in Edinburgh, to recruit a part-time Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a collaborative and purpose-driven business.

The Role

The role sits within a close-knit and supportive business and will play a pivotal role in producing accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with company directors, the successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day financial operations and help drive improvements in processes and reporting.

As the P/T Finance Manager, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, with commentary and analysis
  • Reconciling key balance sheet accounts including cash, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets
  • Providing expenditure analysis vs. budget/forecast, highlighting variances and contributing to cost control
  • Handling all day to day transactional finance duties
  • Will support and oversee Credit Controller in the team
  • Supporting the annual budget and monthly forecasting process
  • Managing credit card and expense processing in line with company policy
  • Supporting audit preparation and ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • Contributing to cross-departmental collaboration including onboarding of new suppliers/customers
  • Driving continuous improvement and sharing knowledge within the finance team
To be considered for this opportunity
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within an SME environment
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes and reporting requirements
  • Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CA), or qualified by experience
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, data analysis functions)
  • Confident communicator – able to explain financial data clearly to non-finance colleagues
  • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong organisational skills
  • Experience with Xero would prove beneficial
