You will manage month-end activities, maintain financial records, and contribute to budgeting cycles. The ideal candidate is part-qualified and studying towards CIMA, ACA, or ACCA, with experience in finance. This role offers a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 and the opportunity for development in a supportive environment. The position is office-based Monday to Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Part-Qualified and studying towards CIMA, ACA, or ACCA.
• Proven experience in a finance role, preferably from an industry background.
• Strong grounding in double-entry accounting, month-end routines and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation.
• Ensure supplier invoices and payments are processed on time.
• Oversee the customer ledger ensuring payments are collected promptly.
• Reconcile ledger accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly reports.
• Support the development of improved reporting tools and dashboards.
• Assist with annual audits and provide financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision making.

Skills

Part-Qualified and studying towards CIMA, ACA, or ACCA

Proven experience in a finance role

Strong grounding in double-entry accounting

Experience preparing journals, reconciliation and management accounts

Advanced Excel abilities

Experience using ERP Systems

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to communicate to colleagues at all levels
