Job summary

A county social services department in England is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join their Parenting Assessment Team. The successful candidate will hold a caseload of complex assessments while supporting Restorative and Relational Practices in working with parents. Qualifications include at least 2 years' post-qualifying experience in social work and expertise in parenting assessments. Qualifications

Come join our OUTSTANDING team at Shropshire Children's Services as a Social Worker in our Parenting Assessment Team.

Shropshire is expanding the Parenting Assessment Team supporting our Restorative and Relational Practice, working with parents to assess their strengths and where there may be gaps or risks identified in their parenting. You will hold a caseload of complex assessments under one of our experienced Team Managers. The team will be using the Parent Assess model.

You will be a qualified children's social worker with at least 2 years' post qualifying experience, including recent experience in undertaking parenting assessments, preferably using the Parent Assess model, and a good understanding of parenting programmes. You will have great communication skills and be able to engage with parents of diverse backgrounds and work alongside social work teams. You will also be confident in providing evidence for the Family Courts.
