Role:Paralegal – Part Time

Location: Leeds, LS15 8GB We operate a hybrid schedule, 1-2 days onsite per week

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (FTE) per annum pro rata, plus extensive benefits

What you’ll be doing?
Contract Management
  • Drafting and reviewinggeneral commercial andtech-related contracts,providing feedbackand adviceto the relevant contractowners
  • Contract administration duties, including maintenance andadministrationof our contracts database,Docusignandlegal project management platforms
  • Managing commercial agreements from point ofinitialinstructionall the way throughto post completiongovernance and training
  • Develop contract approval processes, standardtermsandexception approvals
  • Draft, review, and managea range of commercial agreements includingfor exampleNon-Disclosure, Agreements, Terms & Conditions of business, Software Licences andConsultancy Agreements
  • Keep stakeholders informed and meet with them,whereappropriate, to take instructions
Compliance and Ethical Standards
  • Assist with Anti-Bribery and Anti-Modern Slavery initiatives
  • Support the delivery and oversight of the Code of Conduct & Ethics
Intellectual Property
  • Supportthe identification, protection, and management of intellectual property assets
Governance and Reporting
  • Assistin the development and implementation of governance policies and practices
  • Maintain the legal risk register and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Complete reporting tasks as required andmonitorexternal legal expenses
  • Provide assistancewith auditor requests
  • Maintain a database of all relevant contracts and agreements
Strategic Planning
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives to ensure organisational continuity and readiness for future developments
General Legal Support
  • Review and draft contracts and other legal documents to safeguard the company's interests
  • Provide legal advice and support on various matters as needed
  • Conduct legal research
Who are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Prior experience in a paralegal, legal coordinator or legal assistant role
  • Experience andhigh levelsofunderstanding ofcontractand commerciallaws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage withall levels of stakeholders across a business
  • Proficiencyin legal research and document management
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and governance policies
  • High levelof familiarity withMicrosoft Office, particularly Word,Exceland Outlook
