Our Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Team is offering an excellent Paralegal opportunity.
We are seeking an ambitious individual with the skillset to approach this role with pride, professionalism, empathy, and proactivity.
Ranked by Chambers and Legal 500, our well-regarded Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team comprises of four Partners, one Senior Associate, an Associate and support staff. Our Partners are accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, AvMA and the Law Society. Two of our Partners are individually ranked Band 1 by Chambers and two as Leading Individuals in Legal 500. With a client centred approach, our team specialises in managing cases where the injuries sustained are life changing.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in an incredibly varied and busy caseload including clinical negligence matters relating to birth injury and cases of maximum severity, spinal injuries, amputations, delay in diagnosing cancer, neurological injuries, cardiology, vascular surgery, orthopaedics, urology and gynaecology and a wide range of high value catastrophic personal injury matters.
On a day-to-day basis you will be:
Working under supervision, you will be able to assist the fee earners with their day-to-day caseloads and have the opportunity to get involved in business development activities as a key member of the team.
This is a busy role, with deadlines to manage and competing priorities, so you will be required to work quickly, accurately and efficiently, whilst remaining calm under pressure. You will be expected to think ahead to meet the needs of your team and clients.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.

You’ll demonstrate real potential and the talent to succeed, while appreciating that progression within the team is structured and steady. This role is ideal for someone who values developing strong expertise and contributing consistently over time, rather than seeking rapid advancement.
You’ll enjoy prioritising your own workload and working to deadlines. From your experience, you can show that you are exceptionally organised, proactive, and have a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude.
We expect you to take pride in your work and deliver a first‑class support service to fee earners- anticipating their needs wherever possible and paying meticulous attention to detail in everything you do.
You will also have an excellent telephone manner, strong spelling and grammar, and be proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and PowerPoint.

During your initial training period, you’ll be working full time from our office to ensure you receive the best support from your peers and have the opportunity to get to know the team. Once you’re fully up to speed, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home on occasion, as agreed with your team.
Please note that occasional travel between our Bristol and Taunton offices may be required.
