Responsibilities
  • Provide legal support throughout the sales process, becoming a key partner to the Sales team.
  • Issue unit reservation agreements/purchase agreements to developers and support negotiations.
  • Prepare Unit Purchase Certificates to evidence the purchase of biodiversity units by developers.
  • Gather responses to questions from local planning authorities, planning officers, and developers, liaising with the Data & GIS Team where appropriate.
  • Allocate biodiversity units to developments on the Biodiversity Gains Site Register and liaise with Natural England where required.
  • Raise purchase orders for the team.
  • Review and negotiate non‑disclosure agreements.
  • Support review and negotiation of agreements for the supply of goods/services to Environment Bank, adapting to business needs.
  • Enhance processes and continuously seek opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
  • Perform ad‑hoc research tasks.
  • Occasionally support Land and Ecology teams, e.g., applying to register Habitat Banks onto the Biodiversity Gains Site Register, supporting Conservation Covenants or Section 106 Agreements, and onboarding Habitat Banks.
