Job description

Are you ready for your next career challenge in Technical Sales and have a passion for the Paper & Board industry

We are looking for a PAF (Parts And Field Service) Product Sales Manager to lead customer-focused sales initiatives and deliver innovative solutions that help our customers achieve peak performance.

In this role you will champion Valmets performance parts and field service offerings improvement projects and bespoke solutions including Valmets Industrial Internet and service agreements across the UK. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to understand their needs and convert them into effective solutions that improve processes and competitiveness.

As the key point of contact for these topics you will collaborate with the Mill Sales Manager for your regional clients and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Your ability to influence without direct authority and work across a matrix organisation will be critical to success.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans to improve customer processes and competitiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and customers to deliver tailored solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders while confidently understanding the customers needs
  • Support the Valmet sales and operations teams for your regional clients
  • Collect and document customer feedback call reports and learnings to help improve future Valmet service solutions and agreements
  • Successfully convert our customers needs into effective solutions for all aspects of their process supported by the global Valmet family
Expectations for you
  • Strong background in paper & board industry or heavy engineering / or detailed knowledge of paper making
  • Experience in technical sales production or process development process R&D or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Relevant HNC / degree-level qualification in engineering
  • Strong experience of Customer Value Chain
  • Strong English language skills for general communication and commercial discussions
  • Willingness to travel 40–50%
  • Full and valid UK driving license

You will need deep industry knowledge strong teamwork and communication skills and the ability to influence both internal and external key stakeholders without direct authority. Your success also depends on converting customer needs into effective solutions and collaborating across a matrix organisation.
