Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Dietetic Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital as a Band 6 Dietitian covering a Secondment until October 1st 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Work within a large department of over 70 staff across a wide range of clinical areas including Metabolic Medicine, Dermatology, Renal, Neurology, Ketogenic diets, Surgery/ITU, Oncology/BMT and Gastroenterology.
  • Deliver high-quality nutritional care to paediatric patients from birth to 19 years of age.
  • Develop and build upon your experience to acquire specialised knowledge in a tertiary clinical area under the supportive supervision of Specialist Dietitians.
  • Rotate approximately 9 months long, with a planned change of clinical team/specialty in the summer of 2026.
Qualifications
  • Post-registration experience working in paediatric dietetics at Band 5 / 6 level, with additional experience of a specialist area being beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
  • Confident in Excel, Word and general computer skills.
  • A passion for paediatric dietetics and a desire to progress your professional career at the highest clinical level.
