Qualifications

  • Must possess Independent Prescriber (V300) status.

Responsibilities

  • Prescribe and deliver evidence-based care according to NICE guidance.

Job Summary

Join Our Team as a Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Band 8a equivalent)

We are looking for an experienced Paediatric ANP to join our Neighbourhood Access Service, part of the innovative New Models Programme. You will work within our practices in the Wellingborough neighbourhood to deliver same‑day support to our patients.

What you will do
  • Provide same‑day paediatric assessments for children and young people.
  • Manage acute minor illness and common childhood presentations.
  • Prescribe and deliver evidence‑based care in line with NICE guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with other ANPs, GPs, safeguarding leads, and community teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and coding in clinical systems (SystmOne/EMIS).
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies, Data Protection Act, GDPR, and Caldicott principles.
  • Participate in clinical governance, incident reporting, and service audits.
