Qualifications

• Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment.
• Subspecialty training in Paediatric Oncology or CESR qualification.
• Senior clinical experience in managing teenage cancer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient clinics for children and young people with cancer.
• Provide acute oncological care and manage inpatients.
• Collaborate with Clinical Oncology team for external patient care.

Skills

Senior clinical experience in late effects

Experience in supportive care of patients undergoing radiotherapy

Fluent written and spoken English

Good communication skills including breaking bad news

Evidence of ability to work effectively within MDTs

Education

MRCPCH examination or equivalent

Eligible for full registration with the GMC

Higher degree, MSc, MD, PhD or equivalent
