Packing Operative/Production Assembler – Hereford

Company: H.R. Smith (Technical Developments) Limited. Location: Rotherwas, Hereford. Status: Permanent, full-time, on-site only. Posting date: 23 September 2025. Closing date: 23 October 2025. Job reference:

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the packing and dispatch of all HR Smith products as well as the manufacture of the Conductive Sealing Gasket range. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Adherence to strict production paperwork standards.
  • Packing and dispatch of products.
  • Manufacturing Conductive Sealing Gasket range.
  • Maintain sound work ethic and be able to handle manual tasks with dexterity.
  • Read technical drawings (advantageous).
  • Understand how a busy dispatch department operates (preferred).

Other duties may be assigned as required and training will be provided where necessary.

Working Arrangements
  • Full-time position.
  • Hours: 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 7:45am–4:15pm with 30 minutes lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Free internal training provided as required.
  • Opportunities to progress, promote internally and upskill.
  • Working from home arrangements are not available due to the manufacturing environment.
