A care support agency is seeking a part-time Personal Care Assistant in Nottingham to provide compassionate care for an elderly lady. The role involves assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and companionship. Ideal candidates should be empathetic, patient, and reliable. This position offers £12.50 per hour, Monday to Friday, with a gentle and caring approach being essential.
We’re looking for a kind, attentive and open-hearted carer to help look after our wonderful Mum, an 80-year old Asian - Hindu Punjabi - lady, living in her own home.
This role is a fixed, short term contract to cover the current carer's leave of absence - for 6 weeks starting the 29th September 2025.
Mum is a gentle, calm and thoughtful person. She\'s warm, friendly and easy to be around. While she’s understandably a little quieter these days, she still enjoys light conversation and company. She has experienced deep loss recently yet she remains strong, dignified and giving. She lives for her family, and we’re hoping to find someone who can support her with kindness, patience, and a steady presence.

Mum likes things done a certain way – not in a difficult or demanding way, but with care and thoughtfulness. She\'ll always explain her preferences kindly and patiently, and will guide the person supporting her in a calm and friendly way until they\'re confident. All she needs is someone open-minded and supportive of her needs and wishes.

Mum lives in a peaceful home in Bridgford, Nottingham (NG2). The support work she requires is not physically demanding, but it does require a gentle, caring approach and a steady, supportive presence.
