Outbound Sales Executive

Location – Slough/Reading

Salary – £30,000 per annum – £35,000 OTE

My client are a nationwide travel company who are growing their sales team in the Slough/Reading area. As a result they are recruiting for an Outbound Sales Executive to join their team.

As an Outbound Sales Executive, you’ll be at the heart of our commercial operations – maintaining key client relationships, growing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. Working closely with the Regional Commercial Manager, you’ll combine first‑class customer service with a proactive sales approach to drive revenue and strengthen client partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively generate new business through outbound calling, email outreach and targeted prospecting within the local area.
  • Meet or exceed monthly outbound activity KPIs (calls, emails, meetings booked, and revenue targets).
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, identifying, qualifying and converting new opportunities.
  • Convert inbound enquiries while prioritising outbound sales activity as the core focus of the role.
  • Drive outbound engagement with lapsed, existing and potential customers to maximise revenue.
  • Conduct regular outreach campaigns to promote CTG services, seasonal offers and group travel solutions.
  • Research and identify new market segments, local organisations and industry sectors for growth.
  • Work closely with the Regional Commercial Manager to develop outbound strategies, sales plans and activity targets.
  • Conduct client discovery calls to understand requirements and create tailored solutions to secure new bookings.
  • Collaborate with the wider commercial team to create compelling proposals, quotes and presentations for new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM/booking system records, tracking outbound activity, pipeline status and conversion metrics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the full sales lifecycle, ensuring a smooth handover into operations.
The successful candidate will need
  • Minimum 2 years of outbound sales experience within the travel industry, ideally with exposure to coach hire.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A proactive and results‑oriented approach.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
