A healthcare provider in Herefordshire seeks an Out-of-Hours Driver/Patient Support to transport doctors and clinicians safely. This role requires adherence to standard operating procedures while driving various vehicles and offers a zero hours contract with flexibility. Candidates should have prior driving experience, solid communication skills, and the ability to work during night and weekend shifts.

The Out-of-Hours Driver/Patient Support role is to drive leased, third-party vehicles in order to transport doctors and other clinicians to various locations across Herefordshire, supporting the Out-of-Hours GP service.
The OOH Driver is also responsible for following Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) whilst securely transporting drug bags from base at Nelson House (Taurus headquarters) to clinicians at Station Medical Centre.
The OOH Driver will welcome and book in patients at the primary care centre in Herefordshire during weekends shifts, and assist the Team Leader with reception duties when required.

Complete Falls training to be able to support within the service, working with GPs and Nurses to assist falls patients within the Herefordshire area.

JOB PURPOSE
To drive leased, third-party vehicles safely and transport doctors and other clinicians with drug bags to various locations across Herefordshire to support the Taurus Out-of-Hours service, supporting Overnight Nurse Service as required
Responsible for following Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and securely transporting drug bags from base at Nelson House (Taurus headquarters) to OOH clinicians at Nelson House, Whitecross Road. Transportation requires adherence to a temperature controlled environment.
To welcome and book-in patients at the primary care centre in Herefordshire during evening, overnight and weekend shifts.
To act as a receptionist during the operational period when not on the road with the visiting Doctor
To ensure cars are road worthy
