A large NHS trust in the West Midlands is seeking a qualified receptionist to provide clerical support and excellent customer service. In this role, you will manage patient appointments, prepare clinic sheets, and ensure effective communication with patients. A solid background in administration, preferably with an NVQ 3 qualification, is required. To deliver an effective and competent level of receptionist and/or clerical support and consistently deliver a "client-focused" service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.

Senior staff (Grade 3) will be required to demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organising their workload and that of others and in taking decisions and action within clearly defined limits
To prepare orthotic clinic sheets, patient information sheets and orthoses ensuring all are accurate
To provide reception service for patients that is efficient and welcoming
To make appointments for patients to attend the orthotic clinics, also to cancel and re-book clinics as the need arises and arrange their transport when appropriate.
To accurately add, amend and retrieve information on the computerised patient management and orthotic ordering systems
To make prescription charges and issue receipts or note proof of exemption from such charges where appropriate
To order, progress chase, receive and dispatch orthoses
