Qualifications

  • Registration with NMC or HCPC is required.
  • Experience as a surgical scrub within orthopaedics is essential.
  • SFA qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Spinal scrub and anaesthetic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the surgical theatre with orthopaedic procedures.
  • Support the theatre team in delivering patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and guidelines.

Theatre Scrub Nurse/ODP - Orthopaedics/Spinal

New Hall Hospital - 37.5 hours per week

The role

What you’ll bring with you
  • NMC/HCPC registration
  • Surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics including but not limited to hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligaments
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) would be desirable, but not essential
  • Spinal scrub experience would be desirable
  • Anaesthetic experience would be desirable but not essential
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • A warm, considerate and empathetic character
