Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Oracle Database Engineer based in Christchurch. This 12-month contract role demands SC clearance and involves working on a sophisticated systems and software programme for a defence organisation. Qualifications

Oracle Database Engineer

Christchurch Based

£74.68 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35

12 Month Contract initially.

This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Christchurch.

This exciting systems & software programme covers many disciplines including design, development, installation, implementation, integration, acceptance, training and logistics support - it is run solely from our Christchurch site for delivery to our customer at various MoD locations.

The candidate must hold a minimum of SC clearance without caveats (sole UK National) and an ability to attain DV clearance in due course.

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role.

The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:

• The candidate should have an existing, proven knowledge of the following:
• The systems development lifecycle, from design through to test
• The development processes (e.g. requirements, design, specification, implementation, acceptance testing), and development tools

The candidate should also be able to demonstrate:

• Interpersonal and communication skills. In particular, the candidate will show the confidence to liaise with customer and user representatives to discuss systems technical issues.
