Oracle Database Developer – 12-Month Contract

Location : London 1 day a week.Hybrid / Remote (UK-based)

Rate : £500–£600 per day (via Umbrella)

Contract Length : 12 months

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Oracle Database Developer to join our data and technology team on a 12-month contract. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising Oracle database solutions, supporting large-scale data migration, integration, and transformation projects.

This role will suit someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and has a deep understanding of Oracle’s RDBMS and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database components and PL / SQL code (procedures, packages, triggers).
  • Support ETL and data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and performance across large datasets.
  • Develop and optimise SQL scripts, queries, and DML / DDL operations.
  • Use SQL Loader, Database Links, and related utilities for efficient data movement.
  • Conduct performance analysis, tune queries, and review execution plans to maximise efficiency.
  • Work with UNIX shell environments, maintaining and developing automation scripts.
