Job summary

A leading optical care provider is seeking a skilled Optometrist to join their Gateshead team. This part-time role offers approximately 30 hours a week, focusing on delivering exceptional patient care and leading clinics. The ideal candidate will have GOC registration (or be close to it) and possess excellent communication skills. You will work alongside a dedicated team and have access to unique training and support opportunities. The position provides flexibility with working days from Friday to Monday and an inclusive work environment.

• Leading clinics and providing specialist care and advice to all patients
• Testing eyes using the latest technology whilst maintaining outstanding patient care.
• Delivering enhanced services dependant on the store needs
• Responding to emergency triages
• Working with external healthcare professionals
• Providing clinical support to team members on the shop floor
• Providing advice to patients using your clinical knowledge
• Keeping up to date with latest clinical practices.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders

What you’ll need to have

The essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role:

• GOC registered (or expecting to be in the next 6 months)

We are looking for an Optometrist to join our team in our Gateshead practice. This is a part time opportunity working across Friday- Monday offering 30 hours a week.

This is a great position to work alongside a supportive team consisting of 3 residents, a Dispensing Optician & a Contact Lens Optician.
