Job description
Operations Support Manager

£36 - £40k - DOE

Day shift, half day Friday.

Carrickfergus

Vickerstock is working in partnership with one of Northern Ireland's most recent success stories to assist them with the recruitment of an Operations Support Manager for their site in Carrickfergus.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you are responsible for the supervision of your Operations support team, crossing into quality, supply chain and logistics, while driving lean manufacturing and operational excellence techniques across the business.

Key Responsibilities as an Operations Support Manager
  • Drive ongoing improvements in operational systems, particularly Sage 200 and the SICON ERP suite.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights to support operational decision-making.
  • Oversee the end-to-end customer order process, ensuring accuracy, timely fulfilment, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Optimise inventory levels, balancing service requirements with effective management of working capital.
  • Provide direct management of an Administration team member, with responsibility for their development and performance.
What you will need to succeed as an Operations Support Manager
  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing Environment - ideally High Quality, Low/Intermediate Volume.
  • Exposure to supply chain management.
  • Proven experience leading and working as part of a team.
  • Experience ensuring your team hits KPI's.
