Job description

Are you an Operations or Production Manager who enjoys setting up new processes and leading change? Would you be interested in joining a small, successful food manufacturer who are growing year-on-year and have plans to keep expanding?

About the Role

This is a new position, created specifically to help the business grow. They produce high quality products and turnover has doubled for consecutive years and they have ambitious plans for the future. To achieve this, they need stronger processes and leadership, which is where you come in.

Reporting directly to the business owners, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Lead and develop a team of around 15 people (it may go up at peak times) in the kitchen, production, and warehouse areas.
• Ensure the right resources are in place to ensure product quality is maintained and customers continue to be kept happy.
• Review existing processes and implement more effective ways of working to help the business scale-up.
• Drive efficiencies and improvements while ensuring a continued focus on quality and food safety standards.

About You

You will have experience of leading operations or production teams in food manufacturing along with the skills and mindset to help the business continue to evolve. We’re keen to hear from anybody with the following skills and experience:

• Hands-on approach, comfortable leading from the front on the shop floor by coaching and developing your team.
• Highly organised and adaptable, able to react quickly in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Experience of improving processes and long-term planning.
• Flexible and resilient – this is a small business where priorities can change quickly.
