Job summary

A leading environmental services company is seeking a dedicated team member in Marchwood to ensure compliance with environmental permits and oversee daily operations. Candidates should have knowledge of health and safety regulations and ideally experience in engineering. Qualifications

  • Experience gained through working in an industrial environment, preferably with a continuous process.
  • Able to work shifts and operate various mobile equipment.
  • Ideally some experience in an Engineering role.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day compliance with the Environmental Permit.
  • Ensure optimal operational efficiency in the Tipping Hall and associated areas.
  • Control reception/disposal of waste and ensure compliance on site.

Skills

Knowledge of Regulatory and Health & Safety requirements
Ability to operate mobile equipment and fixed plant
Self-motivated and flexible

What you'll be doing
  • Carry out the day to day compliance with the Environmental Permit, reporting any non-compliance or incidents to the O&M Supervisor/Operations Manager
  • Carry out all daily activities in the Tipping Hall and associated areas ensuring optimal operational efficiency
  • Control the reception / disposal of waste and ensure compliance with Company Procedures by all vehicles / drivers while on site
  • Operate refuse cranes, mobile plant, weighbridge and other equipment as required by the operational demands of the ERF
  • Work within the company's Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System and all relevant legislation
  • Assist other Company staff and contractors as required
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management
