Job Description

Operations Lead – St. Mary’s Church, Ambleside

St. Mary’s, Ambleside is seeking a strategic, organized, and faith-filled Operations Lead to support the smooth and sustainable running of the church. This pivotal leadership role is central to implementing a new vision, facilitating ministry and mission through effective systems, volunteer leadership, and team coordination.

The responsibilities include overseeing daily operations such as HR, safeguarding, building management, governance, events, and communications. The role also involves supporting fundraising efforts and developing tools like ChurchSuite to enhance operational efficiency.

You will lead a new team comprising a Worship Leader and Children & Families Lead, collaborating closely with Ambleside Parish Centre to serve the wider community. The role includes communicating the church’s vision, supporting Sunday worship, and fostering the growth of small groups and outreach activities.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence behind-the-scenes church operations, enabling front-line ministry to thrive.
