Overview

PH Water & Air Technologies is looking for an experienced Operations Director to lead our operational strategy, service delivery and compliance across the business. You will take charge of every aspect of our operational performance, ensuring our engineering teams, service functions and project delivery operate smoothly, safely and to the highest professional standards. This is a pivotal role, requiring both strategic foresight and hands-on leadership, to deliver outstanding client outcomes while supporting the company’s continued growth.

What you receive for joining us:

We offer an excellent salary of £70,000 to £80,000 per annum plus an OTE of £90,000. We also offer 25 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, a car allowance, pension and healthcare, and other benefits we would be happy to tell you about.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and refine operational strategies to achieve company goals, ensuring they remain adaptable to market trends, new opportunities and emerging challenges, while keeping them measurable and results driven
  • Oversee service delivery across all divisions, aligning resources and driving performance across engineering, compliance and project teams
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards by maintaining strong quality systems, regular audits and proactive risk management
  • Mentor and develop operational managers and teams through clear communication, structured development plans and leadership that inspires accountability and excellence at all levels
  • Build and maintain strong client partnerships through regular engagement, tailored solutions and reliable service that enhances trust, drives repeat business and strengthens our reputation
Experience and qualifications
  • Senior operations leadership in industries such as engineering, facilities management, utilities or environmental services, ideally managing multi-site or field-based teams in regulated sectors
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and industry best practice, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure operational excellence at scale (specific knowledge of water hygiene and air systems is a welcome advantage but not essential)
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire large, multi-disciplinary teams, creating an environment of high engagement, strong collaboration and consistent delivery of targets
  • Strong budget and project management skills with a track record of delivering profitable outcomes, improving efficiency and safeguarding quality standards
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification preferred, supported by hands-on experience in operational leadership and compliance management
