A mental health service provider in Folkestone is looking for an Operational Team Manager to lead a team within the South Kent Coast Mental Health service. The ideal candidate will have a background as a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist and must hold a valid UK driving license. Responsibilities include managing team performance, ensuring service quality standards, and collaborating with clinical leaders. This role offers a chance to take the first step into management within a supportive environment.
Please note, at this stage, the role is open only to internal staff (including NHSP and Agency staff currently on placement within our organisation) and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any individual who is at risk of redundancy will be given priority, provided they meet the essential criteria.
A position has arisen for an Operational Team Manager within our South Kent Coast Mental Health Together Plus service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist seeking to take their first step into a management role.
As Operational Manager you would be required to work collaboratively with the Clinical Leaders and Service Manager in being accountable for the team's performance and operational delivery of safe and effective care.
You will be responsible for the strategic management of targets and performance, including waiting time and caseload management, day to day operational management, which includes staff management such as 1-2-1s, appraisals, wellbeing, sickness, absences, e-rostering, governance and financial management.
You will be fully supported in this role through regular 1-2-1s with the Service Manager and by the wider Senior Management Team.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
