Job description

Retail Brand | Leeds (Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days from home)

Are you someone who knows how to turn a product range into a high-performing online experience?

I’m partnering with a well-established and growing retailer who are looking to appoint an Online Merchandiser to join their digital team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping how customers discover, browse and purchase products online - directly influencing visibility, conversion and commercial performance.

This position sits at the centre of the e-commerce function and offers genuine ownership, variety and the chance to make a measurable impact in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Opportunity:

As Online Merchandiser, you’ll be instrumental in bringing the product range to life across the website. From launching new collections and building seasonal edits to refining navigation and driving continual optimisation, you’ll ensure the online store is trading at its full potential.

You’ll blend strong commercial instinct with data-led decision making, regularly reviewing performance to identify opportunities for growth. Working closely with buying, marketing, creative and supply chain teams, you’ll help deliver a seamless and engaging customer journey that supports both brand and revenue objectives.

This role suits someone who enjoys combining attention to detail with strategic thinking — equally comfortable improving product data as they are testing new ways to enhance engagement and sales.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Curating and optimising how products are presented online to drive discovery, engagement and conversion
  • Owning the setup and ongoing refinement of product pages, categories and site navigation
  • Supporting product launches, promotions and seasonal trading moments
  • Using performance data and customer behaviour insights to inform merchandising decisions
  • Identifying commercial opportunities across best-sellers, underperformers and emerging trends
  • Collaborating with creative teams to ensure imagery, copy and onsite content meet brand standards
  • Working cross-functionally to align stock availability, promotions and customer experience
  • Maintaining high levels of accuracy across pricing, content and onsite information
What They’re Looking For:
  • Experience in online merchandising, e-commerce or digital retail
  • A commercial mindset supported by strong analytical skills
  • Confidence working with spreadsheets and performance data
  • Understanding of SEO and how customers shop online
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • A proactive, curious approach with a passion for continuous improvement
Why Apply?:
  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the Leeds office, 2 from home
  • A visible and influential role within a growing retail business
  • Opportunity to shape online trading performance and make a real impact
  • Collaborative culture with exposure across digital, creative and commercial teams

If you’re looking for a role where your work directly influences online performance - and where you’ll be trusted to own and evolve the merchandising approach - this is an opportunity worth exploring.
