1:1 Tutor - Clacton-On-Sea

Prospero Teaching is looking for an SEN Tutor in or around Clacton to provide tuition for children currently out of education.

  • Duration / Likely Duration: Dependent on each student
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Part time and full time depending on availability
  • Rate of pay: £25 per hour
  • Hours: Working hours can differentiate, 6 - 30 hours per week available
Role and responsibilities

As an SEN Tutor, you must be able to deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in a pupil’s education and boost engagement and attainment levels. This opportunity is suitable for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, enjoyable lessons.

Prospero Teaching will work with you closely to monitor progression with each pupil and support effective learning.

Experience, training and qualifications
  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
  • 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
  • Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working with SEN or similar
Eligibility to apply
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
