Job summary

A leading recruitment company is seeking a 66kV SAP for offshore work in the UK. Candidates should have relevant certifications, including Full GWO and Offshore HUET, along with an ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering. The role focuses on ensuring safety, producing switching schedules, and supervising project compliance with safety standards. Daily rates are £750 inside IR35 with a rotation of 2/2.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of WTG WTSR.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules.
  • Current Senior Authorised Person authorisation to 66KV or above.
  • Offshore medical certificate including Chester Step.
  • Offshore HUET.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe working practices and promote a positive Health and Safety culture.
  • SAP duties as required reporting to Lead SAP.
  • Producing and reviewing switching schedules.
  • Provide isolations and safety documentation for Dogger Bank wind farm.
  • Assist in testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems.

Role: 66kV SAP

Location: Offshore UK

Rotation: 2/2 (Must be flexible as 3/3 rotations may be required occasionally)

Start Date: January 2025

Duration: 6-Months + Likely Extensions

Rates: £750 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella

Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK

Description:

  • Ensure safe working practices are in place, reporting incidents, undertaking risk assessments and audits, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture.
  • SAP duties as required reporting to Lead SAP.
  • Producing and reviewing switching schedules.
  • Provide isolations and safety documentation for Dogger Bank wind farm
  • Working under project High Voltage safety rules (Model Distribution Safety Rules)
  • Assisting in the testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems
  • Provide personal supervision if required
  • Conduct and review point of work risk assessments

Further shared responsibilities within the wider team include driving the commissioning process by representing project standards for safety and quality, with further scope to develop competencies under the WTSR and support commissioning engineers during walkdowns.
