Qualifications

Ocean Import Freight Forwarder – Solihull (Hybrid Working)

Two days a week working from home

£32k – £35k

Our client, a well-established freight forwarding business based in Solihull, is seeking an experienced Ocean & Air Import Freight Forwarder to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven track record in handling import jobs from start to finish, including customs entries, to work for a company offering excellent benefits and hybrid working.

Location: Solihull (Hybrid – 2 days WFH)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm (37.5 hours / week)

Responsibilities

  • Manage all ocean and air import procedures from start to finish
  • Complete customs entries – extensive experience essential
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to generate leads and grow the client base

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in start-to-finish ocean and air import freight forwarding
  • Strong IT skills – CargoWise1 certification highly advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge of import procedures and compliance
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of accuracy
  • Professional, conscientious, punctual, and able to follow direction from senior management

You will be :

Analytical, technically focused, comfortable working within established systems, decisive within your area of expertise, and able to problem‑solve effectively.
