Pertemps – Occupational Therapist

Rate: £27.62 per hour

Location: East Cornwall (county-wide cover required)

Contract: Ideally full time, but negotiable

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced Occupational Therapists to support community services across East Cornwall, with the expectation of providing county-wide cover alongside two other OTs. This role is central to helping the service achieve its savings targets for 2025/26 by delivering optimal, proportionate care and reducing dependency on long‑term care packages.

The role will involve managing a steady caseload, carrying out holistic assessments, completing essential face‑to‑face visits each week, and implementing effective interventions to promote independence and reduce ongoing care needs.

Key Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist.
  • Background in Adult Social Care is preferred.
  • Strong functional assessment skills with the ability to recommend proportionate interventions.
  • Ability to manage a regular caseload and complete required face‑to‑face visits weekly.
  • Confident working independently across multiple localities.
  • A proactive, outcome‑focused approach to supporting service users.
Coverage

This post forms part of a small OT team covering East Cornwall and may require travel across the wider county as needed.
