A leading mental health service provider in Doncaster is looking for a dedicated Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join their Mental Health Team. This role focuses on providing evidence-based assessments and interventions to patients with complex mental health needs in acute settings. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient rehabilitation and recovery. Exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Mental Health Team for a permanent Band 5 role for an Occupational Therapist who wishes to work in acute mental health wards. An opportunity to develop knowledge and skills, provide evidence based occupational therapy assessment and intervention for people with complex mental health needs.
Based in Doncaster; including the P.I.C.U, you will be working in mental health clinical settings that will offer a variety of experiences. You will be joining several supportive multidisciplinary teams with a focus on delivering rehabilitation and recovery for people.
The role of the Band 5 Occupational Therapist will be to assess, plan intervention and evaluation the treatment plans for a range of patients under the supervision of the Band 6 Occupational Therapist.
One needs to have broad knowledge of current theory and best practice in occupational therapy, principles of a holistic, person-centred approach to care, confident and effective communicator with patients, carers and staff of all professional groups as well as with external partner agencies.
