Profile

Our client is well established within the environmental and health and safety industry, providing a wide range of services to a mix of clients. Due to an increase of works, they are looking to bring on a keen Occupational Hygienist based in the Birmingham area. The ideal candidate will hold one or more of the occupational hygiene modules and have extensive experience undertaking workplace assessments, air monitoring, COSHH assessment and testing indoor air quality.

Areas of Work

Applications will be considered from: Walsall, Dudley, West Bromwich, Coventry, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Halesowen, Stourbridge, Litchfield, Stafford, Stoke on Trent, Burton on Trent, Nottingham, Leicester, Derby.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in an occupational hygiene role.
• Qualified occupational hygienist holding the BIOH/IOA or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking various occupational hygiene projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust, hand‑arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing, indoor air quality and legionella.
• Undertaking emissions testing.
• Carrying out site assessments as and when required.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
• Managing projects/accounts effectively.
