Profile

Our client is a reputable occupational hygiene consultancy offering the full range of monitoring and consultancy services to industrial and commercial clients across the UK. They are now looking for a hardworking and motivated Occupational Hygiene Consultant based in and around the Derby area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with workplace air monitoring, noise assessments and local exhaust ventilation (LEV) testing. The successful candidate will be covering contracts across the Northwest / Midlands area.

Experience & Qualifications

• Will hold extensive experience working within an occupational hygiene role.
• Will be a qualified Occupational hygienist holding the BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualification.
• Will have extensive experience carrying out workplace air monitoring, noise assessments and local exhaust ventilation testing.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities / Role

• Undertaking Occupational Hygiene duties such as workplace assessments, air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fume, dust and hand‑arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation examination and testing, and indoor air quality.
• Undertaking emissions testing.
• Carrying out site assessments.
• Managing projects/accounts effectively.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with relevant health and safety legislation and MCERTS standards.
• Collecting information from site to provide clients with detailed reports.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
