Job summary

A leading health organization in Salford seeks a motivated Nursing Associate to join their team. Ideal candidates will provide high standards of patient care and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team on a Renal Ward. Nursing Associate – Renal

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated Nursing Associate to join our friendly, supportive and exciting family team on Ward H3 at Salford Royal Care Organisation, Part of the Northern Care Alliance.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team providing planned care and delivering the highest standards of patient care within Ward H3. The role is exciting and challenging, where compassion, team work, excellent communication skills, emotional resilience and initiative are paramount. H3 is a 25 bedded Renal Ward, with patients at a variety of different stages of Kidney failure, this includes end stage renal failure patients who require inpatient dialysis.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

You will need to have experience of working in an acute hospital environment or community setting as well as a Nursing Associate qualification at level 4. Experience of working with patients with acute medical patient's would be an advantage.

Qualifications
  • Foundation Degree
  • GCSEs Grade C or above in Maths and English Language / New GCSE Grade 4-9 in Maths and English Language OR Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English or Equivalent
Professional Registration
  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC Register
Knowledge, Training & Experience
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the Organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code
  • Knowledge of when to seek advice and escape to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
  • Understand requirements for NMC professional revalidation
  • Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
