Overview

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are recruiting a Nursing Assistant within our Surgical Admissions Lounge at Castle Hill Hospital. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join us on a part-time basis. The closing date is 07 October 2025.

Main duties of the job

You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and written, have a flexible approach to working and previous evidence of effective team working.

Job responsibilities
  • Uses medical equipment, to monitor and record baseline observations pre-operatively
  • Practices safe moving and handling procedures when assisting patients with mobility
  • Assists patients in a variety of procedures, including preparing patients for theatre, hygiene and toileting needs, mobilisation and transport to the theatre departments.
  • Complete ECGs
  • Provide Phlebotomy service, training can be provided.
