Nursery Teaching Assistant – Full‑time, long‑term temporary role starting as soon as possible

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a school where children thrive in a safe and stimulating environment. Staff work collaboratively to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that supports early development and fosters a love of learning. Leaders are committed to high standards and ensure safeguarding and pupil well‑being are prioritised.

Duties as Nursery Teaching Assistant:
  • Support children in the nursery with learning and play activities
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering age‑appropriate lessons and activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well‑being
  • Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Observe and record children’s progress and share feedback with staff
  • Support children during transitions and routines such as snack and outdoor play
  • Work closely with colleagues to implement individual learning plans
Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience working with early years or nursery‑aged children
  • Strong understanding of child development and EYFS framework
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
  • Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or early years education (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
