Overview

Come Lead the Adventure Be Our Nursery Room Leader!

Do you have a passion for sparking curiosity, inspiring little minds and leading a team with energy and creativity? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!

As our Nursery Room Leader, you’ll be the guiding light in your room helping children explore, learn and grow through fun-filled activities, play-based learning and plenty of laughter. You’ll also motivate and support your team, making sure every child feels safe, happy and encouraged to shine.

Details

This is a full time permanent position; 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. A shift pattern will be established within the nursery opening hours of 7.45am - 6.00pm.

Our setting is unique in many ways... we are owned by a Board of Governors who are very passionate about investing profits straight back into the nursery and its employees, which is clearly visible throughout our learning environment, resources and equipment, ongoing projects and exciting future plans.

Responsibilities
  • Being a leader of a team, providing an emotionally secure, warm, stimulating and safe environment, appropriate to the needs of individual children
  • Having an excellent knowledge of the EYFS and overseeing provision of a stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities
  • Having a sound knowledge of all nursery policies, procedures, statutory welfare requirements and OFSTED expectations and requirements, and ensuring that these are maintained at all times
  • Being a role model to the staff team, being able to showcase high quality practice with regards to individual and group work with the children, dealing with staff and parent issues as they arise
  • Supporting the management team in leading the nursery to reach an Outstanding grade with OFSTED
  • Contributing to a rigorous action plan that supports the development of areas as set out in the nursery Annual Development Plan
  • Monitoring and assessing the quality of provision within your room, ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained
