Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding nursery. Hours: 30 hours per week, term time. Working hours 9am and 3pm. This position is to work with children in our pre‑school room alongside experienced staff. Staff discount on childcare within the nursery. Free on‑site parking. Opportunities for professional development and training. Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and be on the updated service. Level 2 childcare qualification or higher. Paediatric First Aid and knowledge of Safeguarding is desired. Applicants would need to have knowledge of the new EYFS updates, be able to plan, assess and write observations on key children.

Duties
  • Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities and experiences for children
  • Provide personal care and support to meet the individual needs of each child
  • Promote positive behaviour management techniques and encourage social interaction
  • Monitor children's development and progress, documenting observations as necessary
  • Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure effective communication and partnership
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children
  • Adhere to all nursery policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early years education
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
