The Nursery Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with legislation, EYFS standards, safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies. The role involves leading curriculum delivery, supporting and developing staff, and building strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage finances, budgets, and occupancy growth.
• Oversee recruitment and staff development.
• Facilitate inspections and support marketing and promotional activities.
• Ensure high standards of care, hygiene, and professionalism while embedding the company’s values across all operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Essential: at least two years’ supervisory experience in early years settings.
• Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of child development, EYFS, safeguarding, and equal opportunities.
• Desirable: management qualification, first aid training, and prior nursery management experience.
