Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Kitchen Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for children in our care. You will assist with all catering-related tasks and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment. Following direction from the Nursery Manager, you will help ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

This is a permanent, part-time position (22.5 hours per week).

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare food services areas and equipment e.g. placing equipment ready for use.
  • Assist in food preparation e.g. peeling vegetables prepping fruit for snacks, make sandwiches and help serve food that is delivered by main kitchen.
  • Assessment of good portion control, manage food waste and appropriate record keeping
