Summary

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team at Richborough Nursery. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children while promoting their growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Promoting high-quality care through positive role modelling, implementing effective assessment and planning processes and continuous reflective practice
  • Support the nursery manager in the day-to-day operations and overall management of the nursery
  • Step in as acting manager in the absence of the nursery manager
  • Lead, motivate and support the nursery team; fostering a positive, collaborative and productive work environment
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted, EYFS and Safeguarding by implementing and upholding the nursery’s policies and procedures
  • Support the professional development of practitioners through regular training, mentoring and supervision meetings and appraisals
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing rotas and other administrative tasks
  • Supporting rooms to adhere to the statutory ratio requirements
Requirements
  • Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is essential
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams effectively
